  • Year: 2024

Faced with an aging AV system built over a decade ago, Church of God engaged Loud Technologies Asia (LTA)—a leading AV consultant and sound system specialist in Singapore—to modernize its audio and video infrastructure. The previous setup featured bulky column speakers and a legacy VGA-based video system that struggled with clarity and coverage in the church’s reverberant space.

LTA was tasked with designing a future-ready AV system that would deliver high speech intelligibilitydigital wireless audio, and scalable video distribution—all while simplifying operation for non-technical users. Following extensive on-site consultations, LTA hosted church stakeholders at its Experience Centre for a hands-on demo of proposed technologies, leading to the project’s award and rapid deployment under a tight schedule.

🔊 Audio System Upgrade: Precision Meets Performance

LTA designed and supplied a Bose Professional sound system featuring:

  • EdgeMax EM180 ceiling-mounted speakers, which combine the aesthetics of recessed ceiling speakers with the coverage of wall-mounted models—thanks to their unique dispersion pattern that delivers wide, even coverage from a discreet form factor.
  • Panaray MA12 column speakers, engineered for controlled vertical dispersion, ideal for reverberant spaces where high speech intelligibility is critical.
  • DesignMax DM2C ceiling speakers for ambient fill, blending seamlessly into the architecture while maintaining consistent audio quality.

All speakers were powered by Blaze Audio DSP amplifiers, offering:

  • Optimized EQ tuning tailored to the room’s acoustics
  • Tamperproof configuration secured by login credentials to prevent unauthorized changes
  • Energy-saving features that reduce power consumption during idle periods

🎤 Wireless Microphone System: Clarity and Compatibility

The wireless system included:

  • Sennheiser Digital wireless microphones, known for their low latency, high reliability, and studio-grade audio quality
  • Earthworks capsules, delivering exceptional vocal clarity and detail
  • RF Venue Distro4 and D-ARC antennas, which are brand-agnostic—supporting any UHF wireless microphone system, whether digital or analog, and even allowing mixed-brand setups for maximum flexibility

🎥 Video Infrastructure Overhaul: Scalable and User-Friendly

The outdated VGA system was replaced with a TightAV HDBaseT HDMI extender system, including:

  • An auto-switching presentation switcher for seamless source management
  • broadcast-grade streaming video switcher for live and recorded content

The infrastructure was designed to distribute audio and video across multiple floors using network cabling which is easily installed cost-effectively by any M&E contractor, while maintaining baseband video transport and analog audio for ease of use and simple troubleshooting by non-technical users.

✅ Execution & Support

Despite installation challenges—including cable routing and equipment mounting—LTA’s engineering team provided on-site support and final commissioning, ensuring the system was delivered on time and to specification.

This project highlights LTA’s role as a value-added AV consultant and supplier, delivering intelligent, scalable, and user-friendly AV solutions tailored to worship environments.
